Hi, I’m Rajas, and welcome to The Urban Sisya Podcast.
The mind always craves ಒಂದು "plan" ಅನ್ನ ಅಥವಾ a sense of direction that it can hold on to. Feeling. And most of the time, mind-ಗೆ ಆ space ನ ಹೆಂಗೆ navigate ಮಾಡೋದು ಅಂತ ಗೊತ್ತಿರಲ್ಲ.
I’ve been there myself—multiple times. ಒಂದು vivid ಉದಾಹರಣೆ ನಾನು. when I dropped out of PU to take a self-made path. ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬರೂ ಒಂದು standard blueprint follow ಮಾಡ್ತಿದ್ದಾಗ, ನಾನು part-time jobs, tuitions, and call center grinds-ಗೆ jump ಆದೆ, so I could finance my own education and degree on my own terms. No roadmap, no safety net, zero clear next steps. Deep down ನನಗೆ ಇದು right decision ಅನಿಸ್ತಿದ್ರೂ, conventional path ಬಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದು scary ಆಗಿತ್ತು.
My mind kept looping:
- Is this the right decision?
- Can I actually pull this off on my own?
- What if it all falls apart and I’m left stranded?
Beneath those questions, ಒಂದು subtle fear of failure ಇತ್ತು—relatives-ಗೆ ಅಥವಾ society-ಗೆ ಹೆಂಗೆ answer ಮಾಡೋದು ಅನ್ನೋ ಭಯ, even when I knew this was my path to take.
When a route isn’t clear, mind ಸುಮ್ಮನೆ ಇರಲ್ಲ. It fills the gaps, imagines worst-case scenarios, and constantly rehearses possibilities, trying to create certainty where none exists. But unfamiliarity doesn't mean something is wrong.
I felt this exact same friction again when I started The Urban Sisya Podcast and stepped into producing my own music. ನನಗೆ ಯಾರೂ step-by-step guide ಕೊಡಲಿಲ್ಲ for what I wanted to express, zero guarantee that people would listen, and no idea how my voice would be received. I lingered in preparation mode for so long—ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು detail ಸರಿ ಮಾಡೋಕೆ ಹೋಗಿ, I was just trying to feel 'ready'.
Until one day, I realized something simple: there will never be a perfect moment where I feel 100% sure.
ಆ realization was insanely freeing. It shifted the question from “Is this the right decision?” to a much softer one: “Can I stay with this even without knowing what comes next?”
Many of us experience this when we embark on something unconventional—whether it's juggling backlogs while working corporate shifts, switching roles, or building something of our own from scratch. Mind-ಗೆ immediate clarity ಬೇಕು, but life doesn't give it upfront.
And unfamiliar doesn’t mean unsafe—it just means ನೀವು ಇವತ್ತು ಆ in-between space ನಲ್ಲಿ ಇದ್ರೆ, neither here nor there, ಇದನ್ನ ತಕ್ಷಣ resolve ಮಾಡೋಕೆ rush ಮಾಡ್ಬೇಡಿ. Just take one small step, then another, even without the full picture. Over time, ಆ s uncertainty ಇಂದ pure possibility-ಗೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ space shift ಆಗುತ್ತೆ.
That’s all that matters. Thank you for listening today. ನಾನು ರಜಸ್, The ಅರ್ಬನ್ ಸಿಸ್ಯ podcast ನ Choose ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಕ್ಕೆ thank you so much. ನಾನು Rajas.
